Information participants Daylight Challenge
Up to 50 iceskaters will join Saturday, February 11th, 2017 the Daylight Challenge. The challenge is to Skate as many kilometers as possible between sunrise and sunset 7:49 pm 16:35 am ( 8 hours and 46 minutes). We wish you success in the training, preperation and the challenge and will support you as much as possible . Go for it!
What does it cost?
The cost of enrollment in total up to € 950. This includes travel and accommodation , registration for the challenge , entry for two Skate4AIR Sweden clinics, organizational costs , side activities and Skate4AIAR clothing package (excluding mandatory helmet) . Below you can find the exact amounts.

Participants who are already in possession of Skate4AIR clothes, travel by private transport or arrange accommodation themselves pay less registration fee. In addition to the registration fee collect all participants at least € 750 in. This amount will go directly to the NCFS.
What to expect in the preparation?
The anticipation begins in the Netherlands. Especially for the participants of the Challenge SkateAIR organizes two skate clinics. At the clinics you can already get acquainted with the other participants and get your lesson from professional skating instructors Duosport and Olympic champion Jochem Uytdehaage.
Participate with CF
If you have CF you also can participate at the Daylight Challenge! We would have like to know that you have CF, so we, if necessary, can provide medical support during the event at the Runnlake. We also advise you intend to participate and to discuss with your doctor. Contact Johanna for more information.
Travel information
The trip to the RunnmeerSkate4AIR has already booked tickets with KLM. On Thursday, February 9th we leave at 14.35 pm from Amsterdam to Stockholm where we will arrive at 16.35. From Stockholm we go by touringcar to the accomodation (Framby Udde) where we will stay. On Monday, February 13th we fly back to 13:15 hours from Stokholm back to Amsterdam, where we will arrive at 15.20.
Daily routine in Sweden
Thursday
We will arrive Thursday in the early evening at Framby Udde. After checking in, we diner together.
Friday
After a joint breakfast will we have Friday the opportunity to explore the ice and to prepare for the challenge on Saturday. Friday will arrive the Swedish participants. In the evening we will have diner together and get the organization in latest practices.
Saturday
Saturday, February 11 is D-day. The start is at 7:49 pm. There is a large Skate4AIR tent along the trail, where volunteers provide you all day eating, drinking and a mental boost. At 16.35, the it’s sunset and all participants will finish. How many kilometers did you skate? Of course, there is the possibility to share your experiences during dinner.
Sunday
On Sundays we offer a Swedish activities. What are we going to do, we keep a secret. But we promise that it will be cool. We end the day with a joint dinner in Falun.
Monday
Monday is all about the journey. Maybe you'd like a moment skates strapped before you go. Around 9:30 am the touringcar leaves to the airport and the Challenge is back on.
