In addition to the 7th edition of the Alternative Elfstedentocht in Weissensee in Austria (Skate4AIR Classic) Skate4AIR offers next winter the Skate4AIR Daylight Challenge in Sweden! A new skating challenge, battle against the elements, combined with outdoor activities in a beautiful Swedish environment. Back to basics.

In this "From dawn to dusk 'challenge participants skate as many kilometers between sunrise and sunset, headed by Ambassador Jochem Uytdehaage and instructors Duosport. All participants finishing at the same time at sunset. The Challenge will be organized with Swedish experience programs such as ice sailing or drives a car or scooter on the ice. In preparation Skate4AIR organizes two clinics in the Netherlands.

The Daylight Challenge takes place on the Runnlake in the heart of Sweden on Thursday 9 untill Monday, February 13, 2017. The Runnlake offers the longest swept natural ice skatingrink in Europe and has been elected for the 11th time as best skating location in Sweden, so this lake is the best location for the Daylight Challenge. The program is combined with the Swedish CF Association. That means that there are also Swedish participants who can participate and raise money for the Swedish patient organization.
